Designing an (expandable) Book Series

Starting on a trial run of three books, my team and I landed on a concept with an elegant tilted line carrying the typography from the front cover around the spine through the back. Strong relatable imagery on the cover appeals both to the staff making purchases and the end-user reading all the gems inside (and hopefully giving good feedback to the buyer).

Claiming a unique URL, used across all books and marketing campaigns, OutreachMinistryGuides.com, gave our marketing and product teams flexibility for the future.

Thankfully, the series has been a success, leading us to expand the series to seven titles serving ministries for Hospitality, Children’s, Outreach, Elders, Care and Visitation, Small Group, and Prayer.

We designed and executed a successful digital campaign across Outreach’s web properties, as social media, and print.

It was my privilege to art direct and design all seven books and the marketing campaign.
